Gotta love to how Mamoru’s reaction to a glowing purple phantom of his daughter’s bff/girlfriend appearing in his room is a calm “Uh…you are…?”
Why Chibiusa couldn’t have woken up to say her tearful goodbye like in the manga, I don’t know. But awwww, look at Hotaru’s sweet sad little smile and her thank you awwww.

Oh, I forgot that Chibiusa remembered Hotaru visiting her! At least there’s that, even if she didn’t get to say anything back. Awww, she loves her so.
